No annoying environmentalists for travel around the world to witness the wonders beneath the waves. There are plenty of underwater adventures to be had excellent half-hour flights per day from the UK. Carbon footprint least less likely to chew your foot out by a great white shark. Result! Here is my guide of the top ten dive sites in Europe …
1) Ras Mohammed target = "_blank" title = "Egypt Holidays "> Egypt
Offshore with names like Anemone City and Shark Reef, you know that in any other something special in the conservation park of Ras Mohammed Marine Reef, halfway between Hurghada and Sharm El Sheikh, Egypt. Here, the vertical walls and wrecks complete an underwater adventure truly wonderful. Giftun Island easy half day trip to Hurghada and Makadi is a coral island near to some excellent sites – diving is even greater here, and the boats going out regularly large
relaxation stations for half a day cruise (usually with breakfast included). Travel at night to the Brothers Islands and Zabargad are great – like coral phosphorescent sea life abound.
2) Scapa Flow, Orkney, Scotland
Something a little different here in the north coast, British Cold. During World War I, visited the German ships were sunk to prevent an attack submarine. However, there are large underwater reefs in the clear cold water. They are home to enormous curiosity lobster, octopus, starfish and fish – and the odd German gun, of course! An excellent immersion into cold water.
3) Kas, Turkey
Turkey's Lycian coast is a place of excellent visibility and a hard place to enjoy spectacular waterfalls, a track 85 feet below waves. The remains impressive canyon wall underwater flora, bristling with life, such as moray eels, triggerfish and grouper. Shipwrecks Ro data 100BC, the great bay between squatting Med and the Taurus Mountains on the southern coast of Turkey. Fethiye, too, is a favorite place to take in water.
4) = "Target _blank" title = "Tenerife Holidays"> Tenerife, Canary Islands
Probably the best of the Canary Islands for experienced divers and novices Tenerife is a good place to get close and personal with barracudas, moray eels, parrotfish, angels. Best areas are the wall Radazul, with its vertical rock wall in Arrecife Diablo Radazul a deep dive with a lot of training in black and red coral, and diving to 38m Deep Masca – Packed flora and life with eels and triggerfiches.
5) Baron Gautsch, Rovinj, Croatia,
The Croatian coast is spectacular. Projections falling rocks in the cobalt blue waters, due to shortages Sand around these parts, is incredibly clear, more than 40 meters. Wreck Divers not want to miss one of the most beautiful places of the Adriatic – the sinking Gautsch Baron was once a victim of the First World War. But the loss of shipping Diving is winning, and the wreck is abundant with algae, corals, colorful fish and anemones. Other good places in Croatia are the National Park off the coast of the archipelago of Kornati – especially around Rasip.
6) Santorini, Greece
On the positive side, you have very clear water and hot (about 35 degrees), and some rock formations underwater excellent. On the negative, is difficult to deny that destination in the Mediterranean is very overused. However, there is life, if you know where to look. The best place? Adiaviad. With visibility around 26-30 meters, will not have trouble finding the octopus, barracuda, snapper and grouper among the colorful coral. Try Mansell also in the open ocean reef outside the boiler.
7) Holiday "> Cyprus
Recent wrecks, properly installed, can quickly become a destination list. Take the Zenobia. Divers love this huge ferry, which is located only 15 meters below the surface and drops to 42 meters. Super, of course, swim-throughs, although we closing bars. You can use up to a week of dives on this site, and always discover something new each time. Turtle Beware!
Malta and Gozo
Diving is a multi-color, however, Malta, the dominant color is blue. Azue window is the name given to the natural stone arch that frames the Mediterranean blue. However, at the Blue Hole, the intensity of the color becomes flew through a hole. Here, a sharp decrease in the Beautiful Blue Hole cave will lead to cracks and underground caverns, swim-throughs and chimneys. It is an awesome site with impressive diving marine life in abundance.
9) Eilat, Israel
The Red Sea, Israel is becoming a serious competitor. There are excellent dive schools have implemented in recent years, and staff are more than willing to leave the action. While diving in the caves, Coral Beach and Mosquito Wreck – with coral extends to 30 feet deep, lion fish alive, grouper, manta rays and friends. Central And while the Dead Sea not dip that should be visited while you're there.
10) South of France
He could not come immediately to mind, but the south-western France, near Antibes and Nice, has some great diving spots. Sea Lion Island has a surprising drop was full of gorgonian corals to a depth of 40 meters. Top of red coral, lobsters and even a rowboat below!
